What is the part number for the K&N filter?

I just rejoined the DSM community this week again after purchasing a 96 TSI AWD. I have a bolt on adapter that gets rid of the stock airbox and lets you run an open element filter. My question is what is the part number for the K&N filter that I need. This adapter came with the car and is stamped OBX. I tried searching for this but according to the search "K&N" doesn't exist in any thread??? Thanks for the help

You can use a few different one's. Measure the opening on the adapter and go on K&N's website and order one by dimensions.

yeah...you can use a few different ones, but personally i use the RU-4260. It will run you about $30. Not bad for K&N quality

but it all depends on the adaptors diameter. you'll have to match em' up

You have an aftermarket (non-K&N) adapter. May as well go for an eBay filter. Measure whether your adapter is 3" or 4", and shop from there.

If you do have the K&N adaptor, just get an EVO VIII one.
