Greddy Magnetic Oil Filters

Used one when I built my first DSM motor. Thing plugged up in about 10 minutes of runtime and bypassed after that. I would say good for filtering after rebuilding a motor and catching all the good stuff but for the price and the way Mobil, Wix, and Mitsu filters work for 1/4th the price. I would go with them.

Holy crap, $25 for a damned filter? It better have a lot more than a magnet inside.

You can always go to an add-on magnet, some with racey-racey cooling fins, or a magnetic plug. But if a motor's shedding ferrous bits that are going to get past the filter in the first place (or, if bypassing the filter, where a magnet wouldn't matter), it's not long for the road.

Duh, it says Greddy on the side. You're paying for the brand :thumb:

I agree. If there's that much metal in the motor, a magnetic filter is not going to help you. You already have some pretty serious problems.
