toronto,
hi guys, i have no idea where to start. i bought a 1992 eagle talon tsi awd. when i test drived the car it seems ok, but maybe it's in small streets and can't really fully test the car. and the guy washed underneath so i couldn't see any leaks.

when i bought it home the next day i see fluid leak on the garage floor. some at the front and some at the back. i donno if there is recall for the rear diff leaks? and the front is probably engine oil cus i checked the dip stick and it's now low. when i first saw the car it was perfect level (the guy probably just topped it up and prepped it before i came)

i topped up the oil but the rear diff fill bolt is seized so i'm gonna have to drive to a garage and get that loose soon cus its making squeal noise.

the car idles fine but when i drove it i noticed that if i floor it, the turbo hesitates and car studders. but if i keep throttle halfway and let it slowly build boost after 3k there isn't any studder. and there is this tube that came off i donno where it goes. i tried reading the haynes but doesn't show. something about electric mfg? tube comes from the mfg near the powersteering res, and i see another mfg near the brake fluid res that looks like it goes there??

also there r some connectors that isn't plugged , is there some diagram online or books that shows u where the connector goes or what each item is? i'm lost and i read the haynes repair manual over and over already

need some pointers

do you happen to have any pics of the hoses you are talkin about? A;so when you see the spots on the ground try to reference where it would be leaking from. then take some brake cleaner and the clean the area to try to pinpoint the leak.

what he said^^^

deffinately get some pics and we will help...also use carb cleaner...its less harsh if it gets on your paint...the toob might go to the boost selenoid but get some pics for accuracy

the yellow alternator wire, donno what it's for, cus it's not connected but working right now

i tried to upload more pics but it said i went over the limit, i can only upload 61kb?

on well i uploaded the pics to http://photos.yahoo.com/nwgtr

the hose 1 and 2 pics is the tube i said was lose. the conn1 and conn2 is the 2 connectors that i donno where the heck it goes

the leakr is where the rear diff is leaking. damn fill bolt is so seized i can't fill anything in

and also does it matter what brand or where i buy the fluids from? cus i don't think i have time to go to the dealers to get it. i just bought what it said in the manual

sae75w85 fluid and the sae90 alone..

for tranny and transfer case, rear diff.

Hose 1 - Can't tell if that is the other end of the hose from the back of the Cruise Control actuator. If it is it runs to the nipple shown in Hose 2.
Hose 2 - Cruise Vacuum pump. The hose would run the the Cruise Control actuator shown in Hose 1 picture.
Conn1 - I think that is the fuel pump test connector.
Conn2 - I think that is the EGRT connector that is unused on non-California cars.
Altwire - Without seeing the end I can't be sure but it's either the power steering pressure switch wire or runs to one of the oil pressure senders.

that fluid is fine...
the yellow wire goes to the power steering...it should have like a male but connector that the yellow wire goes to...the plugs look to be egr and fuel pump tester
where does the vacuum hose come from?

that hose shown in hose 1 comes from that cylinder looking thing shown in the pics. and the hose 2 pics has nippple looking connector that looks like it should go there. but after i plugged it in i don't see no difference or if it does anything. so i donno what those things r or what it does and if it was purposly disconnected for some reason.

as for the connectors, i couldn't find the male end to them that's y i was wondering what they r. and the alt yellow wire, the end doesn't have a connector, i forgot either it's just cut off wire or just looks one of those ground wires where u can screw and secure it to something.

It looks like the previous owner cut the cruise control harness, unless that is some other harness or it is supposed to look like that.

oh i thought that tube that came off was supposed to go to that black nipple

i check the plugs and they seem fine. the wires r installed according to length. cus i thought in the service manual it's 4, 3, 2, 1 from the left

and the wires r labled 4 , 3, 2, 1 but not connected correctly. if i actually put 4 to 4, 3 to 3, 2 to 2, 1 to 1 it just studders when i start the car so i'm not sure if i could take the cap out and see and fix that.

i'm just still trying to troubleshoot what causes the car to studder at wot or even after 0.5 boost on the indicator on the dash. as soon as it go pass halfway the car just studders and no power.
