A buddy of mine is too far in over his head with rebuilding his motor. His is a 97 gs-t. I am trying to help him but when I had mine rebuilt I took it somewhere. So for some things we can look at mine and use that as kind of a map but only for a few things. Does anyone have any good web sights that will have step by step pics and instructions. I tried to get him too take it to a mechanic but at this point it would cost too much. Also I was looking at his transaxel and their is a metal stem that sticks out of the top and somehow the piece that slides over it broke can anyone tell me what that is called so that he can purchase another one, and what is the easiest way to disconnect the cruise controll? Thanks in advance for any help someone can give me for him. :thumb:

Could the broken piece be shifter linkage? Can you take pictures? What exactly are you trying to do with the head?

Vfaq has lots of in-depth articles about specific stuff. Like valve seals, lifter replacement, manifold studs, etc. If you don't find your answer there, ask away.

Haynes manual, and/or factory service manual cd. It should tell you anything you need to do, providing that your mechanically inclined.
