Trans. shifting Q's

Hey everyone, i have a question. does any body know how to pull the shift lever off so i can put a new oil seal in? haynes has nothing as far as i see. the seal part number is MD747660 if that helps any. thanks

FWD? Maybe this helps.. I'm not sure what seal your talking about.

I would think he was talking about the shift linkage at the trans itself

Maybe. He should've said shift linkage or cable, or anything BUT lever, haha.
I'll dig up a picture of it there.

its under the service points of installation 17.installation of select cables on the very first picture it says shift lever. the has a shaft that goes down into the tranny and i can't get it pulled out to put the oil seal in. i got shift lever from my haynes book.
