If I unplug the BCS solenoid (electric plug) will the ecu throw a CEL?

Quick question, searched but found nothing:

If I unplug the BCS solenoid (the electric plug, not the vaccum lines) will the ecu trow a CEL?

I want to do those DIY dual stage MBC thing, using the stock BCS to switch hi/low boost on my 1g and on my 2g.

Will the ECU of the 1g or 2g trow a CEL if the bcs solenoid is electric unpluged?

Not on our cars it won't. On an EVO it will but that's irrelivent.

I thought that some do and some don't... sort of like the rear O2. Some cars throw a CEL and some don't. (2g)
wereas on a 1g, it won't ever throw a CEL??

Being a 2g it should through a CEL, but it won't affect anything.

use your Fuel pressure solenoid instead and leave ## bcs plugged in. Same time of solenoid

Hmmmm never heard of a 2g having the CEL come on. I know the 1g won't for sure.

dont you get like 1lb of boost or something from unplugging it. ( wastegate solenoid, the one on top of the air can on 1gs right? )

1g won't get a CEL, 2g will get a CEL
