Ok the update, the engine cranked, it was hydro locked from the rain from previouse week. (car had no hood on it)

So tomorrow, if I get the bolts deleivered to the shop the Turbo and FMIC should be mounted.

Yes, I know I have pump oil into the turbo before starting.

I am a little anxious to see if all is well with the engine. The answer is most likely know but I would like to check anyway.

Can I start the car safely w.o. mounting the FMIC?

This is a yes or no question. Explain if needed, criticism is not appreciated nor wanted!

Sorry for typos or non- english. College started this week :notgood: I've been up since 5:30am I'm finally calling it a night 1am got off work at 12:30!

Will post pics and vids when all is good for those who remeber what this thing looked like when I fist got it!

How did you hydrolock the motor? Several have posted that you need to submerge the intake in water to do that (spraying a hose in the TB doesn't even hydrolock it). What do you mean by hydrolock? It's when your engine tries to compress a cylinder full of water (ain't happenin') and does some serious damage to your motor during the attempt.

The car should fire and might start without the FMIC installed, but since your MAS is before the FMIC, it won't be reading airflow and surely wouldn't run well (if at all).

If your car really did hydrolock I'm sure theres gonna be some internal damage. You might end up tearing it apart to see what really happend. This happened to a buddy of mine. He flushed the motor 3 times and it drove fine for about 2 weeks. Then the connecting rod decided it no longer wanted to be inside the motor and put 2 holes in his block. :)

The car hydrolocked due to the fact, tha the hood was stolen off it amongst other things. Rain water got insie the engine due to a loose spark plug cover as well as the spark plug wires not being installed correctly!

If water got in the engine, I'd make sure you get it all out before you start running the engine. It'd be a lot easier to check now then to rebuild (or replace) the engine if there's still too much water in there when you run it.

We blew most of it out....then soaked the engine in Marvel Mystery Oil for 3 hours....came back cranked it. Engine i still soaking in MM Oil for about 2-3weeks and counting. Not sure if were gonna drain out the MM OIL and put in Oil or just let smoke out the Mystery Oil.
