Skunk 2 Coilover Install - Need Help!

I am currently installing Skunk 2 coilovers on my 95 gsx and im not sure that i have installed the strut/coilover correctly. I have only done 1 on the FRONT passenger side and don`t want to continue until i know exactly how they are done. Coilovers are being put on KYB-GR2 struts.

How i Installed them-

Took the GR2 strut.. put 1 threaded sleeve with locking perches over strut (slid down to bottom)
Put 1 LARGE spring over strut onto sleeve resting on perch
Installed mounting cap ontop
Installed stock bushing (bushing b)
Installed plate with 3 threads that slide into body then bolted
Installed stock bushing (bushing a)
Stock washer
NUT (TIGHTENED ALL THE WAY)

Reason i think its wrong is that everything is so tight ( spring ) and there is no way i could raise the car w/o using spring compressors.. I tried to slide the perches down (car jacked up) and i barely turned them with a hammer. I had a honda and the coilover was loose when jacked up to where i could hold the spring up adjust perche height and then lower... This is sooo tight i can't do anything.. Are there any instructional sites for this ect.. thanks

NOTE: Maybe i assembled it wrong.. The coilovers came with 2 Large springs and 2 Small springs.. I put the large ones on the front (weight of motor)?? Anyone that knows where the big springs and small ones go might help solve problem!
 
i bought these coilovers too....they are kinda tricky to figure out. Mine came with 4 of the same size springs.
 
The front springs on mine will not drop to the adjustment collars even with both front wheels off of the ground, but I can turn them. The rears do drop however.
 
i think there the same size because they messed up the packging.. the parts list it came with stated 2-7"front spring's and 2-6" rear spring's, and i got 2 seven's.. i havn't actually installed them cause im contemplating sending them back.. i would think the front spring's stay compresed up because of there size.. make sure your turning the bottom of the threaded perch by itself cause you could just be tighting them into therself's if that make's sense..
 
I feel very confident i put them togehter correctly using the stock strut disassembly as a guide... All these posts deffinitely do help..

My concern i guess now is if the Eclipse GSX coilovers come in two diff sizes. 6" and 7" or i may have the wrong ones... If i don't, does anyone know what should go where.. 7`s in front (how i have it ) and 6`s in the rear...

Also the threaded sleeve with the adjustment collars is pretty much maxed out and it only dropped me 1inch.. should i flip it over to where the threads go down farther unlike the other end where theres 1 inch of no threads
 
Yes there is a ridged lip on the collars

It states - Knock off factory spring perches with mallat or cut if needed...*Deff did not do and dont even know what this part is or looks like*

also states to cut factory bump stop in half and place thru strut piston??? Can anyone guide me on this ? :confused:

Do these directions apply to the kyb gr2 struts..?
