I just bought a 6 bolt swapped 2g, with a 1g tb and everything. My question is, is there an idle posistion switch on a 2g? I know my 1g had it, but I'm not sure if 2g's even have it wired in. If it does, and someone send me a picture of the plug?

He could be talking about either the TPS or the ISC (Idle Speed Controller). It's hard to tell. But the plug that he's refering on the 6 bolt is the Idle Switch for the throttle plate. It's located on the backside of the throttle body. Like you had stated. However, 2G does in fact have that, it's simply been incorporated into the throttle positioning sensor. Just clearing up any confusion.

Sounds good to me. Perhaps a better phrasing for my original response would have been "2Gs don't have an external switch like the 1Gs do."

Ah yes, I do mean the switch on the backside of the tb. Thanks guys.

After all the wiring hacks from the previous owner, I have to question everything ROFL

Just in case it's still not clear. There are two ways to address the IPS on a 6 bolt swap into a 2G.

You can keep the 2G TPS/IPS and retain the 1G IPS as the throttle stop or you can tap into the TPS wiring and bring out the IPS wire to the 1G IPS. Using the 2G TPS os the cleanest way but some people use '90 six bolts or JDM engines with 90 style throttle bodys and can't fix the 2G TPS.
