Flat Tire Question

I recently got a flat tire and need to get the tire replaced because it can't be patched. My tires have about 50% life left can I just replace the one or do I need to replace all 4?

Search around for a used tire that has about the same amound of tread left as your other three.

I would fallow what this guy said. Get a used tire your going to be better off and cheaper. If you cannot find a used tire then if your last option is to get a new one then just my .02 I would replace 2 of them and keep them both on the front till they are worn like the others that are left on the rear and then rotate them. By the way i would keep the other one that they would take off that is good ten you have a spair tire just in case of the same scenario. Good luck.

You could try and find a used one with about the same amount of tread. Its best to buy all 4 new instead of two because it could mess up the transfer case. Also when I worked at a tire store they could have a new tire shaved down to the same amount of tread.

You would be ok either buying a new tire, or finding one used. With the minimal amount of difference in the height, it should have no ill effect on the transfer case or differential.

Your best bet is to change all four because you don't want to mismatch the tread and mess up your transfer case... not worth it to be cheap on the tires and risk the transfer case
