i just got a 97 gsx ecu for my 96 talon tsi fwd. i just got the water pump replaced and the car starts but after awhile it stalls and i have to start it up again.the alternater is charging and when it stalls you hear a click in the center counsil.i think it could be the relays but i dont know. will a 97 gsx ecu work on a 96 talon tsi anyway? and i also reversed the firing order. so tell my what you think.

I would definitely check the ecu. Most likely if it's clicking in the center it's bad. The ecu should work in the car as long as the transmissions are the same... but you never know how the car is going to act when you do something like that to it. Also, put the firing order back to normal, there's no reason to switch it. The only other thing that could be clicking from the center is the fuel pump relay. It could be that too. I would say check the ecu out first, my friend had a dsm that was clicking from the center and it was the ecu.
