what does this piece do? installing hks ssqv. picture inside

ok i am about to help a friend install his new HKS SSQV BOV, but when I was looking at the package I could not figure out what this one piece was.

it came with two T-fittings, an o-ring and c-clamp. those i already know what to do with them. i can't figure out which part this one is. heres a pic.

the black piece. i don't know what i am suppose to do wit it. i'm thinking it is not that hard, but i have no clue what to do with it.

i know alot of you guys have already installed this part, and can help me. can anyone tell me what to do with this piece thanks.

That's another fitting, like a t fitting, just a diff. shape.

thats the inline filter for the pressure reference line that plugs into the rear of the BOV

It's not a filter, just a restrictor fitting. Put it inline on the hose that comes from the intake manifold with the shorter side toward the BOV.
