Chassis Code for a GST

Does anyone know if this is a true GST "4A3ak"? I think thats the chassis code.

I think you are asking about the VIN, not the chassis code.

4A3AL=all wheel drive
4A3AK=front wheel drive

An F as the 8th digit indicates a turbo motor (4G63T), while a Y indicates the non-turbo, Chrylser motor (420a). This is for 2Gs only.

It looks like you can deciphyer the VIN pretty well -- ever consider righting a FAQ up about it ?

D32A is the chassis code for 2G's I believe. D27A is the code for 1G's. At least according to Apex'i it is.

1G:

D22A= GS Turbo
D27A= GSX

2G:

D32 = GS-T
D33A= GSX

The info for decoding the VIN is in the Chilton's manual.
