I would call Executive Performance and Modified by KC and see who they use and go from there.

Both those shops are familiar with DSM's and should have some good recomendations.

I had some basic work done on my block. Block checked over, honed, hot tanked, head hot tanked, crank polished, new rods hung on new pistons. I had all this done at a little machine shop connected to a Car Quest on Neiman close to Johnson Dr. It's called Davis Machine. He did great work, he sends the cranks out to a separate company that deals just in cranks. Well, when I got mine back I went to put it in and he had given me someone else's crank. He noticed this and called me about it before I even tried to install it. Anyways, everything went together smoothly and was within specs.

He also offered me the option of ordering the rod & main bearings through him so that they would be the correct sized ones since I had to have my crank resized. I declined his offer since he couldn't get clevite 77 bearings at the time. He had the proper sizes I needed engraved on the crank so I would know next time.

Here are some others I know of:
K&H Machine

I took my head to Nolands Cylinder Shop (816) 471-5167 in downtown KC and had them do a valve job and a port and polish job on it. I havn't used it on my car yet so I cant speak functionality wise but visually I give it an A.
