Whats up DSM freaks! i have a question. i picked up a 97 gst and i need some pointers. can i use a stock srt4 intercooler and still throw down a decent amount of boost?

You can use any intercooler you want, its the mount up and ruining the piping that will bring the biggest but most fun issuse

I sure didnt. I asked him a question as to why he wants to use an SRT4 intercooler. Maybe he doesnt know there are intercoolers made specifically for DSMs. He also stated he "needs pointers" and I was trying to inform and point him in the right direction and he never responded. Dont assume I was being a smart ass.

hey no need to be a smart ass. if he got a free one and wants to go through the hassle of piping it then maybe its worth it to him, but if hes gonna buy one, then maybe its not worth it.


for the hassle you would go through to mount up and pipe a SRT intercooler it would not be worth it IMO. what turbo are you running. any plans for upgrading?

you should jump on the SRT forum and see what they put down on a stock one because well that's what car they come on and those guys would know better the most of the people on this forum

1st off let me start by saying i didn't say or indicate that you was or were being a smart ass of any kind. I simply said you didn't answer his questions. if you want to give him some pointers, try answering his question...im not tryna throw dirt on your or anything, i just think people should try answering peoples questions 1st before they start yapping, it makes it less confusing for everyone
