Yes.....I need help

When I registered it didn't give the option to select the great lakes region. the only option was the Midwest. Does anyone know how to fix that, because as you can see I am from Indy. That is the first issue. I just bought my dream car, however, it came with more upgrades then I expected. I bought a 98 Eclipse GST with 43K original miles, and thousands of dollars of upgrades. The issue is when the person picked it up from the dealer, he told him the car needed adjusted. I have since found out the car has a DSMLink v2 Engine Management System. (I copy and pasted that becuase I have no idea what that is) I know that it is to adjust air/fuel ratio, but that is the extent of my knowledge. Does anyone know how to make these adjustments or do I need to take it to a shop and get it done there? Where is a good shop in the Indy area? I have been out of state for 3 years now and will be back before long. Any help would be great.

Dsmlink has since changed the name to Ecmlink. Its an eprom chip in your stock computer whick gives u total control over the engine managment system.
Ecmlink.com would give you wealth of info. They have a forum as well!
You can do some reading 0n there and in this forum and look into h0w to tune!

However, u will need to download their software to tune it. And get the usb cable if u didnt get it with the car!

You are in for a bit of reading, trial and error and above all, having fun doing it!

Hey man, same thing happend to me when i registered. Funny thing is, i saw that car for sale online for a little wile and im glad it found a home. How much did they end up selling it to you for? It looked sweet!

you can upgrade dsmlink for ecmlink and also get the usb cable to run it. Youll need a laptop to use ecmlink or dsmlink. And no you cant take it to a dealer as they wont have the program to use it.
