I'm finally getting around to upgrading the cams in my car, among several other projects. :hellyeah: I thought of ordering Jay's timing tool kit, but I thought I'd give a shout on here first.

I'd like to borrow/rent the tools from someone if I could. I've dropped enough money on everything else, that it would be nice to save a few pennies were I could. :D

Send me a PM if you have a set. I'm trying to make the cam swap as painless as I can.

Also, I'll be upgrading to some 3g lifters while I have the cams out. I don't have a valve spring compressor. Again, if some one would be kind enough to let me borrow/rent one, it will make my life easier.

Thanks.

Wes, would you be looking to have them shipped to you, or would you be willing to travel to get them?

Also, would the special lifter tool work in place of a valve spring compressor, since it is made for changing the lifters? ;)

Let me know, as I have both of those things and might be willing to work something out.

Well, I'm in State College. It probably makes more sense to ship them. If you're close enough that gas money wouldn't be much more, I could be up for a drive. If not, I can paypal money to ship them. I just don't want to spend $70 or more for some tools that I really don't have the money for at the moment. I just dropped $800 in parts.

Parts for SD conversion.
Shift kit, new trans filter, and new Mitsu ATF fluid.
New cams, lifters, VC gasket, cam seals, valve stem seals, and Gates timing belt.
front and rear strut bars.

It should be fun.
