So, if the site does go goofy this weekend, and becomes nearly unusable, will you survive without it for 3 days? LOL

I know the announcement says it will only be "unavailable for a few hours here and there over the weekend," but we all know how server upgrades always go, without a hitch, right?

I mean, you may actually have to work on you DSM to get your fix instead of just talking about it. :shhh:

I'll probably head over to the Jeep forums instead. I already stopped funding the DSM and am now funding the Jeep for some kickass parts.

This...

22nd Annual Del Val BMW CCA Pocono North Course
BMW CCA - Delaware Valley Chapter

First ever track event. I can't wait to leave work today!

I will be helping another DSmer pull his motor so he can rebuild it. He thought it only needed a head rebuild, but come to find out, the balance shaft seized and caused the timing belt to snap. (Mind you, the timing belt already had a groove worn into it because of that darn belt. >.<) So if anything, we might be calling other DSMers for help :)

Going to Cruisin the Coast so I'll be gone all weekend..

Haha +1, talk FTW no offense to toonerz :p
:hellyeah: thanks to all my fellow "toonerz" who have helped make this site the largest (and coolest in my opinion) DSM resource on the planet (owned and operated by a DSMer to boot)! No offense to the non-toonerz though. ;)

 :beatentodeath:

We're all DSMers at the end of the day. :thumb:

yeah but he continues to come back. I dont go to talk I think its junk but they might let you talk about street racing LOL

I don't get the whole "that site sucks" attitude - both here and on Talk. Think about it for a second - how many DSMers use both sites? To say one site sucks is ridiculous when most of the same people can be found on both. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy reading about how many DSMers religiously visit this site and call it home. And I know I'm biased in thinking our site has more to offer, but of course I'm going to think that. Look at how much time I've dedicated to this site and all the sections we have that other DSM sites (like Talk) do not.

In the end though, both sites are useful and it really doesn't make sense for members of one to bad-mouth the other site, since both sites cater to the same crowd - and most members of each site use both anyway. To talk trash about one site is to talk trash about your fellow DSMer. So let's quit with the whole Talk vs. Toonerz "FTW" idiocy and keep in mind we're all just DSMers collaborating with other DSMers.

On that note, we'll be looking at some downtime pretty quick here while I make a copy of the database. Goodnight folks!
