low profile 225/45/17? Quick Q, PLEASE HELP!

I have the stock GSX rims and i'm in the market for new tires. The stock tires are 215/50 I did research and i can put 225/45 on, because as i'm sure you know, wider is better.

BUT, i don't want the sidewall to be that big. I want it to be lower profile. Iis there a size for my rims that maintains the same width as 225/45 but has a shorter sidewall? Any help would be appreciated i need to buy them asap. Thanks!

Not really, you're stuck with 225/45. Besides, it doesn't look bad, just go that way and you'll be fine.

225/45/17(25.1 in) will have a slightly smaller sidewall than 215/50(25.5). If you want smaller, you can go with

The bad news is that the 225/45s have a minimum recommended width of 7.0 inchs, and an actual recommendation of 7.5. While I am pretty sure the tire will fit properly, I am certain that you will lose cornering ability. (Because the tirewall will be flexed inward too much)

If you get tires that are better than your current tires, I dont think you will notice the diff in cornering at all

yeah that makes sense about the sidewall flex. Thanks for the advice, I think i'll just go with the regular 225/45s.
