Sway Bars or Shocks/Struts POLL

Does anyone know what will stiffen a car more, I think aftermarket sway bars would be cheaper and easier to install and with factory springs and shocks the ride would still be smoother. But are sway bars as affective as shocks at improving handling/ body roll?

They don't effect ride quality but still flatten the car in turns.

if you want the car to stop doing the "nose dive" upgrade your shocks and springs. if you want the car to turn without feeling like a boat, upgrade your sways.

if you want both, do both.

but for what its worth, sways make a better all around improvment in handling.

Swaybars are the best "first mod" Cheap, easy, make a huge difference in cornering

Thanks A Lot for the input, I bought a set of suspension tecniques front and rear sways today from a guy with a post on the classifieds here. I will let you know what I think after I get them on. Thanks

I wish someone would have told me that the 90 gst/fwd turbo has a solid rear axle and did not even come with a factory rear sway bar like all other gst cars after 90". What a waste, I later figured that even if I installed the rear sway with a install kit for $175, it would not help much if any because that rear axle is not going to move anyway, what a waste of money for me.
