I used to have Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tires on my 18x7.5" wheels, 215/35/18 series. I bent my front wheels, on stock suspension. Now I have Eibach Pro-Kits and Tokico non-adjustable shocks, and a spare set of 215/35/18 Nitto NT-555 tires, with the same kind of rim, but brand new. Would a 225/45 series tire be larger than the 215/35 (it seems to me that since both numbers get larger, they cancel out and tire size stays the same). I see at most tire retailers that 215/35 are among the most expensive also, so that blurred my vision when I went to buy tires. I don't care how big the tires are, I just don't feel like bending 2 more rims. I need some good tire recommendations. Someone help me if they can! T hanks.

The 35 and the 45 are the aspect ratio of the sidewall. The 35 is a much lower profile tire. To get a 225 with the same sidewall, you would want a lower aspect ratio. Most likely a 30 or so. The numbers are the percentage of the width. If you get 225/45 tires it will be a huge difference in sidewall. You will give your wheel much more protection against the occasional pot hole. But the sidewalls will be quite a bit taller.

go with 225/40, or 225/45 i have 225/40's and i haven't had any problems at all, don't get 30 or 35 series tire thats why your rims keep bending, and if you go with anything smaller then 225 then your outer rim will be less protected and will bend easyier. wider is better. i would look in to the 235s. but nothing smaller then 225/40.
