1g awd rear struts on 2g fwd?

j/w if anyone knows if i can make this combo work or not, i have a friend that has some 1g awd agx's laying around and i was wondering if i could use the rear struts from it on my 2g fwd? My car is sitting on 18's with tokiko blue shocks and tein 2 inch loweing springs and the rear tires rub bad when the suspension is under load, i figured i could give it a try before i spent money on new springs or wheels or a set of new shocks or tires. i know the wheels are a bit to large but i don't want to get rid of them, hopefully i can use them and counter the effects with the adjustable aspect of the shocks..

Any help or input would be greatly appreciated..
