i had a question.

Im in a desperate need of brakes for my 2g GSX (97) but kinda low on money right now.

So i was wondering if it matters if i get Powerslot slotted rotors for the front and get OEM rotors for the Rear? and Hawk brake pads for all four?

Is that bad for the car? or does it matter at all?

Save even more and just use OEM rotors all the way around.
With good pads you'll only notice the loss of bling.

I wish places would just offer the anti-corrosion wash/plating on good quality blanks for cheap instead of fricking self-cracking crossdrilled junk.

Do you know of anyone who has OEM brembo rotors that were crossdrilled that cracked?

The reason I'm asking is that I bought some - http://www.dsmtuner.com/forums/showthread.php?t=225173

I'm using OEM Brembo rotors (not cross drilled/slotted) all around with PBR metal master pads and really like them. Everything ran me around $250

I haven't yet heard any horror stories about Brembor cracking

I've got Brembo slotted and zinc plated rotors from their "Sport Brake" line (ie. they're slotted and plated by Brembo) with Metal Masters up front. In the back I have Brembo blanks with Metal Master pads. I would have preferred just zinc plated blanks, but they would have actually cost more.

I had a set of aftermarket "stock replacement" Brembo Rotors that were cross-drilled on my car (front and rear). They all cracked.

I still have them in a box in the corner of my garage.

I now have a big brake kit in the front (slotted) and OEM replacements (generic Napa disk rotors) in the rear.

If I were to get another set of Brembo replacement rotors, they would be the slotted ones,. They cost the same as the drilled version.
