wheel backspacing question

Stock 2G turbo wheels are 6.5" wide with a +46mm (1.8") offset. So stock backspacing is a bit over 5".

That you're even talking in terms of backspacing also suggests that these are RWD wheels.

For future reference, to convert wheel backspace to offset :


Backspacing – (wheel width ÷ 2) = Offset



Now you can take any wheel that has the backspace listed, and calculate what the equivelant offset is. Knock yourself out. :)
 
Thanks for the info guys. I think I got my terminology a little mixed up due to this diagram (below). I do understand what offset is - the distance between the centerline and mounting pad. I guess, what I need to know is what the stock rear-spacing is on a 2G stock wheel. I need to know what the distance is in the diagram below that is labeled "Offset or Backspacing".
