I want them to reply in that thread since that's the one linked in the FAQ forum.

You should put your info in there also.

Thats what i meant. I was asking them to drop some science in the faq thread, not this one. Wasn't sure if they pass through that forum or not ;)

In my opinion, we need several threads for alignment issues.

One would concern alignments to minimize tire wear on slammed cars. This thread should be a bit more lenient RE non-performance Qs and As.

The second would be for autocrossing and road-racing.

The third would be for drag-racing (i.e., launching).

If the first gets mixed in with either of the other two, people like me get annoyed and bitchy.

If the second and third get mixed, it gets very confusing very fast, since they are quite different.

Ok jtoby, would you mind doing me a favor then.

Start three threads concerning these topic so I can link then in the faq. That way you have the 3 seperated to lesson confusion. I will sticky them until all relevant info has been posted.

The I already split off can have the facotry specs.

Thanks alot :thumb:

Now we have seperate threads for seperate racing types.

Add in your numbers and settings.

Why isn't caster being addressed in any of these threads? Sorry if it's a stoopid question, I don't even know if it's adjustable on our cars.

BTW toby, link is dead to your home page.

Asking about caster is very good. I'm not big on 1Gs (since I autocross), so it just doesn't come up for me. But I know that some people prefer adding caster over adding more static camber to their 1Gs with plates, so hopefully one of these people will start either a 1G autocross or a 1G road-racing thread.

While we're waiting, here are the issues. More caster means more camber when you steer, which is good. It also adds self-centering force, which is sometimes good and sometimes bad. It also adds a jacking effect to the inside wheel, which is bad. So it's a case of weighing the pros and cons.

As to my web-site ... my server was hacked. I think I know who did it and I find it moderately amusing and really annoying. I'll probably have to rebuild the damn thing from scratch later this week. Grrr.
