I just bought this 95 AWD TSI and it is too low. I cant go over speed bumps or anything for that matter. I dont know how much of a drop it has but the front bumper hovers above the ground. It has a Tokico 5 way adjustable coil over set up on it.

I want it dropped but driveable. Do these cars have coil overs stock? or stuts and springs?

Anyone know what I could sell the coil overs for?

Thanks,

If you have coil overs you just need to raise all of them, you should have a coil over wrench type tool that will adjust them.

After raising your car you will want to get it aligned also - camber and toe on the 2g cars changes quite a bit with even modest height changes. Camber isn;t normally adjustable on these cars, but if the previous owner had that much drop there's probably some sorta kit already installed.

Adjust your coilovers to your desired height. Then get an alignment. :thumb:

They dont look adjustable to me. I will look into it further when I get home. I would have already pulled a wheel off to check it out but I dont have a jack that will fit under the car.

He's got Tokiko 5-ways which means he's got Illuminas, which means the perch is welded to that shock-body. (They are coilovers, but not adjustable coilovers; the word adjustable in the first post refers to the shocks, not the perches.) His problem is that he's got lowering springs that are too low or sagged. My guess is that they are SportLines.

Suggestion: search eBay for some ProKit springs. They work fine with Illuminas. And get an alignment after the swap.

Thank you,

Is changing the springs on the coil overs something I can do with a spring compressor or is it better left to a shop.

I am used to 5.0 mustangs so yall will have to tolerate my newbie dsm questions for a little while. :D

I infer from the fact that you write well that you can do it. There are VFAQs and other descriptions available. It's not complicated.
