1G SS lines and brake pads

I'm in the process of doing the OEM brake upgrade for my 90, switching to the 94 brakes with the dual piston calipers. I am interested in getting stainless steel brake lines, just curious if its worth it and where you guys got em. Also, what kind of brake pads should I consider, there's some nice ones on machv I'm considering, I believe it was Axis or something like that,

If ya guys could just tell me what you think and where you got these things I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks

I got my brake lines from Road Race Engineering. http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclbrakes.htm

The current pads are cheap Autozone semi-metalics, the Axis Metal Masters are a good midgrade pad. As soon as I wear these out I have some Porterfield R-4S pads ready to go in.
Performance Friction and Hawk have some highend pads too.

Stainless steel lines made a world of difference in feel on my 95. I also have the RS4 pads from RRE, and while I cant get them to fade on the streets one bit, they dust pretty bad.

we generally use metal masters in our brake kits because they work great and are great on the wallet. SS lines also make a world of difference as well. We use Technafit SS lines in our kits.

im currently running Axxis "Ultimate" brake pads up front, and EBC "Green stuff" in the rear.
i dont know exactly how they work because i put them on in my garage and my cars in for the winter. guess ill see in the spring.

I have Axxis Ultimates up front, and they work great but dust like none other. I've actually been considering switching them out to a less aggressive and cleaner pad.

is there a certain place i should get the ss lines, they seem pretty expensive, also for the pad, it seems the more performance the pads are, the more dust, now i dont need high performance pads, so should i just get some from the local auto store?

i wouldnt keep from getting a good pad because of dust. They are a good investment.

I dont use the performance of the RS4s very often, so the dust it creates can be fairly annoying for what it gives me.

They are great pads, and worked great on my back road jaunts. Although next time I think Ill get the next step down to hopefully cut back on dust.

If you get SS lines, be very careful to examine them from time to time. They can occasionally have the braid come loose from the fitting, which will then wear through the rubber pretty quickly. Obviously this results in catastrophic brake failure. SS lines are NOT a part you put on the car and forget about!

I use the Porterfield R4E pads on my DSM. They're streetable, actually even outperforming the R4S pads in subzero weather! Much, much quieter than Carbotech Panthers.

correct. however, i use goodridge ss lines and ebc greenstuff pads f/r.
