Found brembo blanks for my 92 tsi awd w/abs for 35/29 front/rear.

Found axxis ultimates for $40/$40 front/rear.

Are these pads any good? Anyone have better prices on this stuff, im looking to spend about that per set of brake pads but im open to reasonable suggestions, thanks, Mike

I think you might be paying a bit much for rotors, in all honesty I'd just get autozone rotors for $20. They're a wear item and shouldn't be any more prone to warping than any other high buck rotor but will probably rust on the hat if you care. Ultimates are a good street pad, I liked them on my CRX, and that looks like a pretty good price. Just remember to properly bed in your new rotors and pads! It's the difference between good performance and okay performance.

$35 a rotor for brembo blanks for fronts is less then anyone i found is charging. Autozone $20 rotors are very warpage prone ( i know from expierence) What did you mean by bed?

I bought autozone rotors when I did the big brake upgrade, and they were warped a couple of weeks later. I then went with solid brembo's, and have no complaints. I'm using them with PBR metal masters

Well my rotors/pads look like shit, so im replacing, but any word on the axxis ultimates?

Heard bad things, they create a lot of dust. The Axxis Metal Masters are supposed to be a lot better then the Ultimates and about the same price

Not telling!!!!

Here ya go

They said the metal masters would eat the rotors quicker or something to that affect. Any other suggestions on pads?

They have PBR and bendix also, but the metal masters seem to be what people are saying. What shoudl i do? thanks, Mike

Axxis Ultimates grab very well, but they also dust a crapload. They make my rims "gunmetal" in a week or so. :(

Not a brake dust fan, but im not willing to f*ck the brakes up prematurly with the metal masters if that in fact is what will happen. any word on that?

Ordering these by the weekend...ultimate or metal masters, please contribute, thanks, Mike

I have Front Brembo cross dimpled/slotted rotors with metal master pads. They've been on for almost 10k already and they still look new if I wash them off. They don't really dust that much. If you wash your car regularly, you won't notice it. I don't know how the ultimate's are but they're more expensive so I guess they ARE better but expect them to wear out faster also. If you do swing by Will's house this weekend, take a look at mine.

yeah man, ill prob be coming through, hopefully me and you can do the rewire thing.

the ultimates are ceramic. Ceramic is not any better from a performance stand point, but they are more resistant to heat and have a longer life span. Also the ceramic pads have no break in period, just install and rip into the tracks.
