I need these babies bad! Does anyone know where i can pick up a pair. I checked with turbotrix and they don't make them anymore. If anybodys getting rid of a pair let me know!

so with the taboo camber plates, could i get a set for the top and bottom, or is that just for the bottom only?

? camber plates ?

Taboo doesn't have camber plates. The camber kit they have is for the rear.

Well, you asked for lower control arms and made reference to the Turbotrix kit.

Camber plates are for the fronts. The control arm kits are for rear camber. At any rate, the Turbotrix one isn't right. It modifies/shortens the lower arm. When a car is lowered the top of the rear wheels tuck in, negative camber. So if you shorten the lower arms to counter it, you're also shortening the track slightly. The right thing to do is to lengthen the uper arms to push the top of the wheel out to straight. Look at the technical section on Taboo, there's a write up and explanation.

Taboo's kit isn't the only rear camber kit out there. There's also the bushing type by Whilteline of Australia. I believe it is sold by DSMparts.com. It is really a Galant VR4 kit but works on the 1Gs. Taboo's kit will probably give you a greater range of adjustment so if the car is lowered by a lot... that's probably the one to get. I personally don't like the idea of cutting control arms... but that's just me.

If you were talking about correcting camber up front, RRE has the camber plates... overkill if you don't run road courses. There are camber bolt kits out there through some of the vendors. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Pina Motorsport in WA, there are others... do a web search and you're bound to find something... or browse the sites for the site sponsors.

so the taboo kits only bo the bottom, but can i also use use them on the top?

Just read the info on the site.

what would be the cheapest/easyist way to do it? couldn't I just go to home depot and pick up some steel, cut the control arms in half, and make some brackets that bolt on to each arm? thanks for all the replys.

I would'nt trust brackets.

I would get some hardened nuts (grade 8) and a grade 8 bolt or stud then cut about 1" section out of the arm in the middle. Have a GOOD welder TIG weld the nut in one side and the bolt or stud in the other.

Use a second nut as the lock nut to hold it in position.

What the hell kid... I gave you all the info. There are cheaper rear camber kits out there if that's what you're after. I've listed websites.

The ones on MachV you found will work, but really expensive and I think others on this site will agree too.

Re-read the information I've already given you.

Then spend some time with the search on this site and read up on camber so that you really understand what's needed, whats involved, what's for the front and what's for the rear. Using the search is not that hard. You obviously can use a keyboard already. You should be able to use the search and find lots of information quickly. Try the other site too... dsmtalk.com

I think I've already told you want you needed to know or what you appeared to be asking. Now it's up to you to digest that information and do some more research.
