I'm just waiting on the "prototype" throttle body. And then its back to the dyno to finish what I started. And now that I know the guys who owns the shop where I dyno at pretty well I shouldn't have to wait forever to get a couple hours in.

We all had a good time. Too bad we couldn't make the Madness run, but it wan't in the cards. On a similar note; it seems the DSM itch has struck once again on this poor soul. It seems we are going to have another baby soon, A blue 91 GSX baby that is... I'll post more detail and some pix once it gets settled into the new grarge. I don't want to jinx it as I don't have the bill of sale as of yet. (p.s. I just got the acceptance news/offer and I'm excited. Gonna pick her up in a day or two after I gather the funds... )

Woot! Bill Of Sale In Hand... Thanks To The Love And Support Of My Sweetie, We Now Have The Keys To A GSX!
Landed a 91' GSX Automatic, No ABS, 113K for $600. It's untouched by any mods, so it's going to be fun building from the ground up. We'll be keeping Lori, so it looks like we have another car for the meets. I'll get another thread started and post the pics once it gets washed and blow dried...
P.S. Hey Carlos... It Looks Like You'll Need To Stock Another Color Besides Red

Nice!!!! Not bad at all for $600.
I only stock a couple of popular colors, but I can get basically any color you are looking for.....there are some very nice colors out there. Also, now I can get color matching for people that are trying to match their valve cover to their car, or a certain part on their car

Well I circled the car like buzzard for almost 2 months. One day stopping to talk to the shop owner. The car had been taken into the shop due to it's non-running condition and wound up sitting for a very long time. Anyhoo, I left a number and an offer after having looked it over. 6 weeks later the shop owner called and said the offer was accepted. We paid the man and swooped the car up. It's safely tucked in the garage at the moment. This car is in exact orginal condition, seats are perfect (non-leather). And body in really good shape given it's age. Pop-ups work fine, windows and antenna work fine...
On the other hand... It is a DSM after all... Right?
Cylinder 3 shows very low compression. Adding oil brought the compression up slightly, an indicator of a valve issue. I don't have a descent compressor so couldn't do a leak down.
All fours are flat, some will hold air for a couple of days. Others won't. No big deal as it'll get some good rubber once it's road worthy. Rotors are rusted bad, and no brake fluid found in any of the break lines. I'll be ordering fresh rubber for all 4 calipers and a new master cylinder. Again no big deal, gotta stop sometime right?
It's not getting fuel or spark. Relays all look/test good. Fuel pump flows fine with a seperate power supply attached. We'll be working on this more in the comming days, just to get it turned over, and suspect the ECU as the root cause. I'm going to look up the VIN and Options to see if it came with the anti-theft option. It might help solve this cunundrum...
There is the simple skinny. Like I said in a previous post. I'll be starting a new thread with pix. It cleaned up very well, and will be road worthy soon. It's the name of the car that seems to be the hard part.... You all know how I love to name my cars

Dude, that is a pretty nice steal...
Now my ride is down again... I got the 18g in clean, no leaks, broken in and all... then my clutch went out.
I went to get gas to start tuning, and I try to pull up the the pump and I can't get in gear. I figured it might be the POS ACT TOB (thats alot of acronyms), so I dropped the trans (my first time ever) and come to find out, my year old ACT 2600 is missing a finger. The missing finger was jammed between the Pressure Plate and Clutch Disk and luckily didn't go bouncing around.
So I called up ACT and I have to ship them the clutch to see if they will cover it. In the mean time I am waiting on my second 2600 and should get here next week.
Hopefully the install will go as smoothly as it came out (might need some expert help on the install).

I'm a newbie here, but I'm definitely would be happy to attend this meeting and see you guys. Please tell me what to bring to this meet
Some info about myself. Name - Stan. Moved from the Ukraine about 2 years ago. Have some experience racing over there (mostly streetracing as it's NOT illegal there). JDM drag racing champion of the Ukraine. Founder of the StreetForce racing club.
Bought my GST about 2 months ago 100% stock. Started with exterior (80% complete - see gallery). Now want to start with engine and suspension mods. Goal - 350whp and circuit/autocross setup. Have no experience with DSMs, so I'd be happy to meet you all and listen to your advices in this matter.
Thanks in advance
See y'all there...

Welcome AutoExec you don't have to bring much to the meet just 30 bucks or so and we normally start a list so that everyone doesn’t bring napkins and forks. It costs 10 bucks to watch the races or 15 to race. So if you bring some one it could cost around 20 to 30 bucks. L8R
