"March of the DSMs"
The 2011 El Paso DSM Spring Meet and Track Day will be Sunday, March 13th 2011. The meet will kick off at the new Five Guys Burger and Fries near the Tinseltown theater on the east side. From there we will cruise east to the El Paso Motorplex for a night of DSM drag racing.
There will be a "pre-meet" car wash starting at 2:00 pm for those of us that want to get our cars looking their best before the event. The carwash is going to be at Superior Car Wash located at 1560 North Zaragoza Road, El Paso, TX 79936.
The actual meet will start at 4:00 pm at the new Five Guys Burger and Fries on the east side. There is a large open parking lot there which will give us all a chance to show off our DSM's and grab some food before heading to the track.
At 6:00 pm we will all jump on I-10 and head out to the El Paso Motorplex in Clint, Texas. The drag strip will be open for test and tune from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. The standard rate is $20 to race, $6 to watch. There is a chance that we can get a better rate at the track but it depends on how many people are going. The more going the better chance for a discount. All that is required to race is a current driver's license. If you are running 13.99 or faster a helmet is encouraged, although they probably won't be enforcing that rule.
We had a great turnout last spring and it looks like this year will be even larger. I hope to see everyone out for the "March of the DSMs"!
*** The track portion of the meet has been cancelled due to new management at the track. They will no longer be racing on Sundays. Instead we will try to put together a cruise. The rest of the meet is still on. It will still be a good time, guaranteed. See you there!

.. a good meeting place is that five guys burger joint.. its good, right off the the gateway, plenty of parking and light, and lots of ppl to check out the rides.. so wash em up... now it good that its in march.. gabe at evolution invited me to go to import face-off feb 20th to pit for him and his 900+hp evo... anyone else going? so feb is kinda no good....
