I will be buying a new clutch in the next month. I told my friend I want a 2600. He suggested getting the 6 puck disc over the street disc. I think that is what he was running in his old low 11 second talon.

What do you all think? How is the driveability/holding cabability of the 6 puck compared to the street disc?

Or would an sbr 3500 be a better clutch for me?

The car is my daily driver with an occasional trip to the drag strip.

Thanks in advance

Well, I hade a street disc before and never again will do that. Lasted about 2 months with only 2 or 3 launches. Had a 6 puck and I loved it. Never slipped on me but for a daily driver, i dont know if i liked it. I now have an SBR3500 and I love it for daily driving and it seems to hold up just as good. I like the SBR because of how it feels. Feels like a very well built and strong clutch. When i replace my clutch, I think I will go with the SBR again.

well i am using a sprung 6 puck with stock pressure plate and it works super! the holding compacity is unreal! smooth engagement as well. i was running a act extreme pressure plate with stock disc it held well but i didn't like the feel of the clutch peddle! just my $.02;)

Tort ran a 2600 with street disc for 2 seasons with zero problems, best was 11.05 @ 123. When the disc wore out, he switched to a 6 puck. The engagement was too harsh for the street and he grenaded the t-case on the 3rd pass. Now he's back on a street disc. If you're afraid that a 2600 won't hold (it'll hold alot), then get a 2900 w/street disc. They have the same pedal feel.

Thanks guys, but I am really considering the sbr 3500. They are supposed to have almost a stock feel, yet grab better than the 2600. Not too mention its a little cheaper. Does anyone have any reviews on this clutch? Thanks

sorry no reviews for the sbr 3500. however i read up on it at SBR and it said it was a custom spec clutch... I'm using Spec stage 3 6 puck. awesome clutch!! takes a little to get use to with the lightened flywheel but very nice, and i use it for daily driving. never slips
