Can a spare tire be used with 18's?

If I get a flat on one of my 18's, can I use the spare or do I have to tow the car?

you can use your spare,i got a flate on my 18 about a month ago and used it,doesnt handle very good,but got me home

Is a poorly-expressed or incomplete question.

It does not matter what the wheel's diameter is. What matters is the overall tire diameter. As long as that is close to the original, then you can run the spare tire.

My street tires are smaller than stock, so my spare does not travel with me.

ya i definately wouldnt recomend it just to be sure... i dont even carry mine with me anymore for the reason that i might want to use it. That and it keeps rattling loose from my stereo

using a diff sized tire with an awd transmission is very damaging. even having tires with diff wear is not good. it should say in the owners manual exactly how much the drivetrain can take. this is the same reason you must change all the tires at once

I've never heard a spec about just how much the VCs can put up with in tire diameter differences, nor for how long. The crucial measurement will be the radius from the hub center to the middle of the contact patch.
