I've read somewhere that a DSM transmission can safely handle about 320 HP, but with the MODs I have I'm probably making more HP than that. I'm starting to run into some drivetrain problems and was wanting to know a good place to buy forged transmission parts and would like the part numbers as well. Or if anyone thinks I should send my transmission to Shepherd then just let me know, thanks.

I was thinking more along the lines of Sheps $800 transmission rebuild service, or buying the forged parts and having someone in my area rebuild it. I don't want to spend a huge amount of money unless I have to because I'm also fixing a couple other things on my car like my xfer case, replacing my ACT 2100 with an ACT 2600, finishing the 6-bolt motor and swaping it, plus the transmission. Any good cost effective choices out there?

yea ... wait till you can afford it and then do it right. I made the same mistake and had someone locally rebuild it the first time. It lasted a whole 2k miles before 2nd started grinding. Then he replaced that and then 4th started popping out of gear. Then that was repaired and the trans leaked between the casings. Took it apart and resealed it but it never felt quite right again. Just get it done right the first time by shep.

Alright, is it ok if I just get his $800 tranny rebuild service or do I NEED the $2500 tranny?

If you call him up and tell him what kind of power you are running i'm sure he would be willing to give you the breakdown of what he thinks the trans will need.
