My stock laser runs 13's lol

Im sure its not too uncommon, but have u ever seen a stock laser, well all stock but a K&N Air Filter run in the 13's

Well i didnt purchase mine no more than 2 months ago off this old mother ####er, car only had 30,000 miles on it and garage kept.
its a 92 laser awd turbo

so i took it to the track after rippin the air can out , a simple tweakin of the MAF and my last run of the night was 13.9 @ 97mph

my first run was 14.1

when i got there i said i wasnt leavin till i got a 14.5
i was soo excited when i found out i ran a 14.1 my first time...

oh yeah..the launch on the AWDs are ####in animals

i am very impressed

what boost are you running...what fuel...... you say it stock..but i find it hard to believe that with just a k&N you pulled off a 14.1 -13.9 seeing as your car stock runs 15.2ish a air filter alone wont drop 1 sec off you 1/4 time..what was your 60ft... 1/8th and trap?

of course u know i took the boost solenoid off and ####ed with the MAF...i mean come on its a DSM u gotta hack that shit up...and its still stock cause, a cars stock when u put no money into it

and my times were

reaction was .106
0-60 was 1.9
1/8th 7.7 at like 77mph
1/4 time at 13.9 at like 96mph


its very possible with AWD, the launches are amazing

Yes, it is very possible to run those times. I ran a 13.5 with exhaust and 15 psi. Nice times though, any weight reduction done?

Stock is not considered "no money into it". Stock is what comes to you from the factory. You have free mods.

no, stock is keepin what came with it in it...any mods is what u put into the engine and the only mod i put in it was a K & N Air filter and as far as i know thats a regular replacement item so basically its not a mod


no, no weight reduction was made

it was very nice out...no humidty and it was like 70 degrees...very bautiful

I did a 8.2 @ 88 last season.. Also, a 13.9 with a 7.7 eighth? That doesn't sound right.

A: Your time's make no sense

B: There are 2 types of cars...stock, and modified. A modification is anything that is done to enhance performance other then the way it rolled off the factory floor. If you hack your MAF, you have MODIFIED your car and are thus not STOCK.

what the hell kinda light you run on.. 1stage 2stage what? your reaction time is a .108 or some shit.... here in wa a .500 is perfect? redlight much? jezus or maybe its just diff where your at...

NHRA and most associated racing bodies have gone to a new style of reaction time. on the slip.. if you get a .00 you pulled a perfect .5 launch.

+.xxx is whatever over .5 you got
so .109 =.609 reaction time.

Running a 13.9 on a lightly modded 1g AWD DSM is no problem.

BPU should put any driver that can cut 1.9 60fts there.

BPU being 2.5 catback, K&N, and 15psi or so... thats the only 3 mods it takes
