well i went to the track friday and my first run (went from 1st to 3rd) i had 17.9, and my best run of the day was a 17.210....WTF? two of my friends that came up w/ me w/ dsm's ran so much faster. my friends RS ran a 16 flat, and another kid's 1g FWD turbo A/T ran a 15.5 and we both have exact same mods. now granted i have a dying synchro so i take it to like 5k and then wait a lil to put it in 2nd, but would that make THAT much difference? also all my R/T's were in the 1.1/1.2's so i think that may be bad too. i cannot get the hang of the lights...i THOUGHT i went when the light turned green but apparently not? my 60's were like in the 2.0-2.2's oh yea and this was at 10psi...for some reason i couldnt boost past 10 that night even with MBC all the way out then the next morning i spooled right to 17...i was so pissed...overall im VERY disappointed with my car. i cant wait to go back again because a kid in my skewl w/ 1g N/T dsm said to just rip thru 2nd gear instead of goin in pu$$y style and i tried that on the street and it seems to work real good but im not gonna make a habit of it.

First off you can't shift from 1st to 3rd and expect a good ET. Second, reaction time has nothing to do with your ET, you can sit at the light for 10 minutes and get the same ET. Third, to increase boost, you thread your MBC in, not out. With the MBC all the way out you will get very low boost like you are describing. Your 60 foots aren't terrible but with AWD they could be a lot better, say 1.8-1.9. My FWD gets 2.1's so you get the idea. I'd say the reason you ran 17's is mostly due to you only getting 10psi...but also a little due to your tranny. Just as an example, my friend has a 91 AWD with dying 2nd gear, grinding 3rd, and only a boost controller for mods and ran a 15.0 so that's where you should be. Hope I've helped, good luck.

well i turned my MBC in at first and thats when i first noticed my boost was so low, then i turned it out and still no result...turned it farther out still only 10psi...no matter where i put th MBC, it was 10psi but i left my girlfriends house the next day and it spooled right to 17 so i dont know wtf was wrong w/ it fri nite

ok well heres how i see it, ur mbc is garbage, buy a hallman for 50$ get ur tranny fixed and obviously ur car is seriosly messed up or u cant drive for ur life. u cant just slap stuff on and expect a good time, u dont even know how to use a mbc and ur wondering why ur car is slow? who did ur mods? do u have a safc? prob installed wrong. u have full exhaust? stock turbo? at 10 psi skippin 3rd gear what do u expect. sumthin is wrong with ur car cuz i hear of 1g awd bone stock with nuthin at all with over 100k miles runnin 14.9, 14.8 and somtimes low 15's, 2g awd stockr un like 15.0, sumthins srwong bro, no offense or anything but thats why people like you should own a honda. intake header and full exhaust on a gsr or si should get u into the high 14's stick with that and a wing and you should be happy.

well first of all, i have a hallman MBC, i DO know how to use it, and it was only my first time at the track, so yes..i am not a professional drag racer...SORRY! 2nd...are YOU paying for my tranny to get fixed? i didnt think so...3rd...did i say i expected to run 13 or 14...NO..i only wanted a 15 because i know my car isnt that fast. and yes stock turbo, and yes full exhaust. my main problem was that i couldn't boost and that i took my time getting into 2nd gear...next time up im going to rip through it and better get a 15

My 93 awd ran 14.3@92mph with nothing more than a boost controller and k&n filter at over 5500ft elevation.

With a full exhaust I would expect nothing less than 13.5s all day long. Your car is screwed up. Run it into a wall, and get a new one.

i don't know about that one. i ran sir every test-n-tune for 3 months and got a best of 14.6@92 with a full exhaust, intake, clutch. mbc and afc.

sorry but i need to see a slip

I don't know if I can find that slip, as its been about 4 years.

You have a 2g, of course they are slower with little mods. t-25 and the extra weight really slows them down.

Your kidding right?!?

I got a 14.1 in my 95 tsi awd w/ my factory exhaust and no fuel computers.

ok 1st of all 2g's are slower then 1g's stock, put full exhaust on both cars and the gap widns greatly. with full exhaust 1g's drop into the high 13's whjile 2g's are at low 14's. put a safc, uip, mbc and intake and a 1g will run a low 13 while a 2g will maybe pull a 13.9 or 13.8. and yea buddy you cant drive (laser awd) my 1st time at the track i ran a 12.9 and 12.7. if your tranny is fuked up then dont run it. why do people run their cars when they are messed up and then expect good times? fukin idots man.

I have a 95 GSX, and I ran a 14.038 at 94.37 mph when I went to the track. I only have a catback exhaust, MBC, intake, and a BOV.

something is def wrong with the car man, i did a 15.0 in my TSI a/t with cat back, intake, UICP and BOV...the tranny is def holding your car back, going from 1st to 3rd will kill your ET's, fix your tranny, you should hit 15's then
