Boost boyz & Girlz @ Fall Nationals E-town.

Well we are running the car in the Hot Rod class here at Englishtown for the Fall Nationals. We had 1 qualifier last night due to rain delay and a ton of oil downs. On that 1 pass we suffered a lot off breakage. Where should I start? Shawn pulled into the lane, did a burn out, pre-staged, waited for other car stage forever, he timed out. Shawn launched and the car didn't even budge. Tow it back to the pits to check out the carnage. Fuel check valve broke off, the sensor from the wastegate to the boost controller broke off, and last but not last we broke axles. Yes I said axles. Meaning we broke both front axles on 1 freaking pass. When we break we do it good. But the guys worked for a few hours and everything is back togather and ready to make a pass as soon as they call us to the lanes. WISH US LUCK!!!

We just ran a personal best of 149.30 mph on gas (no nitrous). and we didn't break anything....What a great weekend....

yea details please... it seems like you guys have terrible luck with breaking things. I remember I think it was 2 years ago at the shootout you just couldn't stop breaking things. Solid trap though!

Shawn and Sandra do break parts but they are out there racing every chance they get. They were the ONLY DSM in any heads up class at etown this weekend, evos included. There were probably 60 hondas there racing.

Nice pass today Shawn, finally getting the power up top. Keep working on the boost control off the line and you'll get there.

Good traps Saundra and SHawn. ALways good to see you guys doing big things. You guys are used to being the only dsm's at these events though. Even at the Panams there was only one other dsm(evo) at the entire track and odly enough when I saw the car it was broke and without a engine in it . Alls well that ends well

Nothing really to report....Just learning things. Things like weather, track prep, and 1 little digit on the boost controller can be the difference between launching.......and crawling..........off the starting line. We crawled off the starting line, hobbled to the 330', jogged to the 332' mark, and flat out SCREAMED to the 1320' mark. Picked up 37 mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4, which is also our new best. Obviously there's more there, we just need to put together a string of passes so that all the data can start being studied much closer and changes made. Had a misfire on the top end I think. It'll be fixed by the time the World Cup Finals (..::  World Cup Finals (Import vs. Domestic)  @  Maryland Int'l Raceway ::..) comes around.

Mickey Thompson 26X10 "Sport Compact" compound
Weld 15x10 with 5.5" back spacing (I think?)

Rear:
Fake Weld Alumistars (hey, they LOOK like Welds!) 15x3.5
Moroso DS-2's

Extended wheel studs all the way around. They won't work otherwise.

The 15x10's won't work with single piston calipers. They will only work with the dual piston calipers found on 93-94 1G's and 3000 GT's, etc.....
