Finally made it into the 11's

As the title says, finally made it into the 11s! For some background on the car, it's been a project in my family for the last 4.5 years, now on the second setup. My brother was driving it Weds night. Our setup is in our profile, but we've had some issues getting the Techedge WBo2 working, so all the (minimal) tuning has been done using DSMLink's estimated AFRs, and even then we're still seeing values in the 10.7:1 range; there was no timing advance. It's been kinda chilly out in MA so the car spun off the launch, which you can kinda see in the video. This run was done on 93 pump gas at 23psi with a 1.8 60'. Unfortunately, on the second run of the night my brother missed 4th and hit 2nd, ended up popping 3 rockers off, one of which made its way through the valve cover. The car still ran on two cylinders, and we're praying for minimal damage. Anyway, enjoy the vid!

Hoping to join your club...

Very nice run... Sorry to hear about that busted up valve cover, I'll cross my fingers with you guys.

Top 5 cleanest 2g's on the forums. Is that Electric Blue from the Evo's? Looks better on your car whatever it is... haha

Haha yeah, about that trap speed... Traction off the line is the limiting factor there. If you look in the video, you can see the tires spin for a while before gripping and the throttle had to be feathered to keep the traction through first and into second. If only it was warm outside.

Congrats! Now get back out there and run low 11's. Your car make plenty of power to do it. 122 MPH is a low 11 All day.

Nice pass. With more seat time that E.T. will come down. Hopefully it's an easy fix and you can get a couple more passes in.

So far with this e316g pre cams etc, my car did a best of 11.9 a little over a yr ago but the trap was like 7-8mph less than yours. a 122mph trap is more like a mid low 11 second awd ET!!! So yea just get some more seat time, and figure out how you need to come out the hole. May just have to take it easier on the launch.

I missed fourth before also, was doinga pull one day at the top of 3rd gear, and by mistake dropped it into 2nd but luckly I kicked the clutch in before it over revved or I couldve been in the same situation as you.
Your car looks great btw, the 3052 is a great street turbo.

Dont you need a roll cage to run 11's? Or is that 10's?

Here's a vid of the second pass, notice the wheels locking at close to 100mph . Still ran a mid 12 at 91 mph.

nice job man. That truck got pwn'd. bet he never expected you to launch that hard on him, lol.

I can't wait for my 11 second pass. I'm shooting for 11.49 on the 16g without nitrous.... in other words, I'll probably never get there... but hey, gotta dream big!

Thanks for the compliments! TSIMonsteR, one thing I've learned is that you should always go for it, hell 5 years ago I never thought this car would run 12s, nevermind 11s.
