Well day started out rough. Problems with my connection to the trailer, missing tow strap, funky brake controller but I made it to LVD at about 6:20 or so..

First pass out I went 11.0@128 with a HORRIBLE 1-2 shift. Waited about 40 minutes and went again.

This time I stuck the 1-2 and had a nice 1.5 60'.

Overall Im happy. My goal was to beat my 10.8. I definitely think she will go a little lower for me. Just didnt want to wait another 45 minutes plus it was getting super dark.

Next event is drag day unless I get bored and hit up another test and tune session.
 
Very nice but whats going on with your MPH 121??? I went to the track for the first time last saterday and ran a 11.6 at 120

Only thing a low MPH means is that he got his ass outta the hole. The lower the 60ft, the lower the MPH. Damn nice time slip, ill probably never see 10s, congrats
 
Thats what I was thinking. If you trapped 128MPH with a 1.5, you would of been deep inthe 10's.

Thanks everyone. Its been quite a year for me thus far. Broke 10's a couple months ago and now to go lower into the 10's is very nice.

Well my previous best was a 10.80@118 and back when I ran that everyone questioned the time board. Well I ran at the same track with a better 60ft in the same lane and thats where I went 10.7@122.

I did get out of the whole pretty well. Someone on another forum said it could be that I got off the gas at the end of the track and that can often show up as a lower MPH. Either way it is what it is. :D

Bullshit! Not 8-10mph.

You should bi*** at the track owners for the shitty MPH timers at your track. Anyone who runs at the track alot would know that that was the problem since this is the 2nd time it has happened. The only way you would run 122mph at that ET is if you hit the brakes right before the end of the 1/4. I don't see why you would do that if you want to better your time. That's something newbies do. Congrats. You should have stayed and backed it up. Personally, I wouldn't be happy with that screwed up MPH. Oh...try switching lanes next time.

Oh what the hell kevin? Your only in 3rd gear through the traps? Or maybe I just didn't hear you shift into 4th. Good run mang! Sounds like you spin those hoosiers just as bad as I do haha.
 
I might wanna add also with a 103mph trap in the 1/8th mile your car should be at 130-132mph in the 1/4mile. I would say that the track MPH beam is fudged. I bet money if you goto another track with beams that work you will hit a 130mph trap speed with ease. I went 105mph in the 1/8th mile and 134mph in a 1/4 acouple of years ago.

I go into 4th almost at the end but you cant hear it due to the next cars burnout. :) Ive also already trapped 128 there. I dunno just seems to be weird on my best runs.
 
Something is definetly worng with the trap speeds. You would have to be having problems with the car to go 103 in the 1/8th and 121 in the 1/4. And to run the ET you did would lead me to believe the problem is with the track timing equipment.
