Well, today was the import fall brawl here in Boise Idaho, 3rd quick 8 in a row for me that I have won.

Went out and 1st pass the damn clutch slipped on me again, lifted and coasted to a 11.9 @119mph.

Hai tran had his fully built half tubed frame CRX that did 605whp on the dyno the other day, he was there as well with the #1 qualifier spot with a 10.20 @140mph.

We ended up in the finals once again against each other, but this time he had the fully built crx. I knew the only way I was going to beat him was to out tree him and out 60ft him and hold him off till the finish.

Nailed the 2 step, and got the hole shot with a .083 pro tree light and a 1.750 60ft, Hai tran got a .294 light and a 1.931 60ft. So I had a pretty good lead on him to 1000ft mark when he got right next to me. I won by .0734 of a second. Hai Tran went 10.53 @147mph!!OMG

I crossed the traps with my new best ET and MPH at this

r/t .083
60ft 1.750
330 4.773
1/8 7.090
mph 109.10 :thumb:
1000 9.042
1/4 10.669
mph 138.99 :D

That is a new best for me.
c16 race fuel

Car is still on 215/45/17 inch rims and tires toyo proxies.
stock tranny with open diff
stock struts
3250lbs with me in it.
daily driven about 50-70 miles a day.
through the muffler 3" to magnaflow muffler
that pass was done at 32lbs of boost, my boost controller was being stupid on me so that is the most I could get out of it.

I had tons of fun racing today, very excited to take win #3 in a row.

Congrats :) How does the tranny seem to be holding up?

Seems to be doing pretty good, I have only missed gears maybe 2 times this whole season. allthough 3rd gear is just now starting on the crunchy side, not too bad though. Should hold for I would imagine another 30-40 passes before 3rd gear hub and slider let go.

Next time I go out I will have the GM boost controll setup on the AEM EMS, then I will be at 34lbs, that is till I get the 5 bar map sensor for the AEM, right now I have the 3.5bar map, only reads upto 35.12lbs.

Damn I wish I could keep up... You have been keeping me motivated about my car for quite some time now, and now with your switch to the 3575 Im even more excited. Congrats on the new best, cant wait for times on 35psi. I read on nabr that you lift to shift to keep the tranny together, I know about lag with the 3065 so Im imagining the 3575 is a bit worse so Im wondering how you get it down the track so fast.

Seem's like you are a tranny, suspension, and a set of wheels and tires away from the 9's!

Thanks man, this turbo has incrediable response between shifts, infact it spools damn near to the 3065 did, I get 31lbs by 4900rpm, then once it's spooled it's there for the rest of the run. It hits sooo hard, kinda like the on off switch from a 16g, same result but 10 times stronger.

But once it starts building boost it just goes WAM!! hits full boost and away you go, that is the only way I can explain it LOL.

Your times are obviously fantastic, but what I like is that you won on a holeshot. Now that's some driving.

Congratulations on a well deserved win!

Looks like we have a good candidate for 2006 DSMtuners Sponsorship on our hands. ;) Keep up the good work man. Maybe we can show our support in some small way. Let me know.

I would be honored man, thank you so much. :D :D

congrats, are you going to try to go with a different wheel/tire set up, or keep it the way it is?

I want to hit 10.40's by the end of this season on the rims/tires that I am on now. Then for next season I going to go with hoosier QTP's on 16" rims with coil overs and some good shocks, not sure what shocks I want to go with yet.

Next seaons will be a whole new ball game, bigger turbo, bigger fuel system, bigger cams, direct port nitrous, and few other goodies I have in mind, main goal for next year is mid 9's, we will see.

I wanted to congratulate you on your success on the track and on you diligence on your consistency in racing. I know what kind of energy it takes not only improving your car to make it competitive, but all the behind the scenes activity getting to the track and so-on to make a good showing.

I think it's fantastic that Chris is aware of your efforts and that he's made an offering for your 2006 season :thumb:

We compete in different kinds of racing but I still can appreciate the talent that's necessary in reaction time, calculated shifts, and keeping your car off the wall at a 120-150mph. Just as long as there's a DSM kicking ass out there somewhere makes it all worth while...

Keep up the good work and continued success on the track...
