so my friend took hiw '98 GSX to the track not too long ago this is what he has and this is his time:

FP T-28
HRC FMIC
Injen Inatke
Walbro 255
2.5" DP
3" cat and catback
Greddy profec (old shool)
ACT 2600/ flywheel

he ran full weight and full tank of gas, he doesn't dump the clutch he slips on launches, this guy can drive OMG

60ft= 1.80
1/4 mile= 13.0

i dont remember the exact times or the trap speed but that is damn good, he bought the car like that and only added the fuel pump. i think these are awesome times for what he has done to it. he had a '96 tsi awd (R.I.P) that ran 12's all day with a lil more mods. what do you guys think about his times

I did a 13.2@107 with a 1.9 60' with intake, exhaust, downpipe, upper intercooler pipe, and boost controller. Stock clutch, stock fuel stock 14b. Just some 100 octane. Clutch retired after that run though.

My mods are in my profile.

I have less overall performance mods, and went just as fast. 13.2 @ 103
No FMIC, NO 3" exhaust.

I was full weight with a car seat in the back.

FPBig28's are the doo doo for people that wanna look stock.

Good times. I am shooting for that "stock appearing" 12 second timeslip....with a car seat in the back seat.

Sucks I gotta drive 100 miles to the track!!

Hmmm, GSXTACY's mods:

Shop Fabricated UICP w/ 1g BOV Dodgemod performed per VFAQ Shop Fabricated Cold Air Box Shop Fabricated LICP Conical Air filter Hallman MBC Shop Fabricated Turbo Inlet pipe 18 psi Fp Big28., Ported FIC 650's 2 1/2" mandrel bent turbo-back Walbro 190 Apex'i SAFC Autometer Ultra-light bost gauge

umm it looks like it is about even you have injectors and a fuel controller my friend doesnt OMG well nonetheless nice times and nice lookin car

A friend here pulled a 12.7 at 107 with exhaust,16g,pump and mbc

you bastards with your manual transmissions. im a good driver, and over ~30 passes across 5 months on 3 different tracks in my 98 gsx my best time on the exact same mods as you listed aside from the pump and my automatic tranny with shift kit, at 18 psi, was a 14.4 at 92. best 60' was a 2.2. a torque converter to launch past 2800 rpms and dsmlink to keep the timing from dropping at every shift would have put me into the low 13's, i doubt a 13 flat though

nice t28 time :thumb:

1.8 60FT and "good driver" in one sentence?

like i said he slips the clutch. i was just talking to him about it, he said he could have done much better. i was just impressed i thought i would shaer everyone, i dont want to turn this into a contest, but some of the times that have been posted are very good.

might i add my stock 1990 TSi AWD almost took a modded 1989 5.0 Stang that ran a 14.5 in the quarter. i was running an open DP and launched the fuk out of it. i imagine it too be between a 14.5-14.8 STOCK :D

if you look in my gallery, the white 95' GSX I had in Germany was just as fast on stock injectors, and I had the Fp rewired on the 95'.

I am kinda disappointed in my 650's. But I won't hold my cars lack of a 12 second timeslip to the injectors. I just figured if I went with 650's I would get into a better timing map and make more power. I hold my GSX's lack of 12 second timeslip to:

Lack of AWD dyno to tune.
Lack of Datalogger.
Lack of wide band to get my "rich" condition under control.
Lack of motivation to spend any more money than I HAVE to on it.

I have replaced ALOT of stuff on it lately and I am just tired of breaking stuff. Why would I want MORE power?

Battery
Alternator Belt
stock clutch
Front Driver Hub bearing

Now the head gasket, timing belt & misc., water pump, gaskets, ARP studs.

Going back to the track this spring for that 12 second timeslip, then......donating the GSX 100% to the wife for "kiddie shuttle" duty. As of right now, I drive it more than SHE does :D

Thanks again on the nice comments.
