264 cams with stock cylinder head springs, retainers, ect.

None of the "off the shelf" 264's will be a problem on a stock valvetrain as long as you keep the revs under control. Duration has less to do with upgraded springs/retainers than lift, ramp rate and engine RPM's do.

So would it be wise to limit my revs or how would I go about insuring myself from blowing up the stock internals

Does a auto differ from a stick when adding the cams and when it comes to rev

You won't make much power above 6-6.5K on a 16G and stock manifold, even with cams so set the rev limit to 7.2-7.5k and tune the car for it's applicable power band. There's no insurance for not blowing up the internals on a modified car. Best advice, don't run too lean and your motor will thank you for it.

Yep.. Just ignore all the advice from your other thread.

Nonetheless this has been discussed many times. There is extensive info on this site on camshaft/valavespring choices.

Hopefully this helps,
