difference between automatic and 5 speed block?

I just bought a new block since mine blew up and my mechanic is assembling everything for me right now. However, he did say that the block was from an automatic eclipse. So far the only difference he noticed is that the driver side of the car it has the 2 piece axle with the carrier bearing that bolts up to the block in 2 spots and the auto block only has 1. Will this be suffice enough so that nothing bad will happen? Also will there be any other problems since it is an auto block?

On a 2G in the same year I don't remember there being any block differences. There are external differences like the intermediate shaft and perhaps engine mounts but you should be reusing the originals.

There are no differences in the blocks. But there are differences in the brackets used to attach the intermediate axle shaft to the block.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. The flex plate was a pain to get off but other than that its going good so far. Just that theres only one bolt holding that bracket on instead of two. You thi?nk it will be fine
