I currently have a 95 GS-T and I love the power i am getting and want to continue to build it up even stronger. I am at the point now where i am pissed off from all the wheel spin i am getting. I know a kid down the street from me with a 91 TSI AWD for sale. The motor is pretty clean, but I want to know, if i can just swap my currently built 2g engine into it? I am guessing that i can, just have to change the ECU along with it, but i am not sure. Some please enlighten me on this. If it is a bad idea with a 1G AWD, what about a 2G AWD? I'm just a broke ass and trying to save some of my hard earned by swapping the power over instead of having to buy all new parts.

You are going to need the 1g starter mounting bracket, 1g CAS, and 1g water neck,1g TB, 1g timing belt side motor mount, and 1g accessories. Then you use the 1g ECU. There will be some injector swapping and spark plug swapping order that would probably have to be done. Not 100% sure though. Some other things I am probably forgetting so someone else will chime in. I figured you would know the whole crankwalk deal.

Have Fun...

I'm sure you could but it wouldn't be very smart because of the possiblity of the 7bolt crankwalking. I'd leave the 6bolt in there and build up from that.

Yah leave the motor in the 1G in the 1G. The 6 bolt is stronger along with not getting crankwalk.

thanks for the replies guys, i think i will just swap my evo 16g mani, o2 and mani onto the 1g and leave it in like you said. I will pull the 14b, put it on my 2g then sell it and use the money from that to dump into my 1g and get all new mods.

thanks again
