I was considering a new tubular exhaust manifold for my 99 GST and I found this Pacesetter for about $150 NEW. There is a picture below.....
Here's the details : Manufactured by Pacesetter. Part #70-1225. Black paint finish. Manufactured using 16 gauge mandrel-bent steel tubing with 3/8" thick steel flanges. Hardware, gaskets and illustrated instructions included. Includes flanged collector and header extension to connect to stock system.

Here's my question...... Would you guys use this?? Why or Why not?

I will be using this with a stock 2G head and a SBR 2G20G turbo. I really need your guy's opinion. If I dont get this, then I will probably just have my stock manifold ported and use that. But let me know if I should get this.

Thanks -Paul-:dsm:

You shoulda searched, there was a pretty good thread about this about a week or 2 ago. You may also want to search at NABR, as there's 2 threads about it there.

Here's some links, all found by searching:

Conclusion: the welds should be beefed up and you should get it coated before using it, after that it should be a decent mani.

Yeah, I did do the researching after I started this. OOPS! Shoulda studied first. I think I will run a ported 2G instead of the Pacesetter. Thanks for the links though.......

Can't go wrong with the ported 2G manifold. Plus it will be less expensive to have your stock manifold ported.

I wouldn't bother with that PaceSetter... All that extra work of weld upgrades and coating in addition to the fact that it doesn't have equal length runners.. Just stick with a ported 2G and leave it at that..
