I was wonsdering how the PTE SCM50 turbos perfom compared to a big 16g, 16g or other turbo. I need some info on the fly cuz I found one for $800 + $75 for oil lines.

Also, what is a good (doesn't have to be great) FMIC which would match teh turbo's performance?

I have a 2g so which FMIC doesn't require removing the fog lights?

Also, will the FMIC install disable my A/C?

Please give me as much info as possible!!!

I believe the small greddy FMIC kit allows you to keep the stock fog lights, and I think the Dougs Dynopower fmic, but dont quote me on it

So the "BIG" GReddy FMIC will require cutting the bumper and fog lights, any one know how to get a solid FMIC for under $700?

Get the Dejon Tool Race FMIC with the blow-through setup. Its bling. I think it requires removal of stock fog lights, but its a small price to pay.

Their FMIC's are loot$$$$. Prostreetonline's FMIC, though w/o a doubt is quality, but way over my budget.

I am trying to spend $700 - $850 for a decent FMIC

ANy advice?

Does an IRC 1g FMIC fit into a 2g eclipse?

Are they decent or are they so big that they restrict airflow to the radiator making the engine temp go up?

For $850 what FMIC is going to get me cool enough to push 410 HP?

Will Greddy big FMIC do the trick?

ALSO, NOONE HAS MENTIONED THE PTE SCM50 TURBO, IS IT ANY GOOD? RELIABLE? FAST? SPOOL CHARACTERISTICS? ETC. ETC. ETC.

If your interested - Used FMIC can be had for Cheaper.

I'm thinking about selling my Greddy 24 Row (ie: Large) FMIC for $650. (used for 2 summers)

I know a friend that sold his Apexi 2G FMIC for $700 (used for 1 summer)

-Anycase just something to think about.

The PTE 50 trim can push about 360whp on 92 oct(20psi). And about 440whp on race gas. (26psi) at least that's about what my friend Jet was running with his. 119mph (pump) and 123mph(race)

I consider it. I think the price your asking for a 2 year old Greddy is bit high. But let me look around. I heard if you are going to run a serious turbo that the GReddy's don't hold boost too well.

For the 16g's and big 16's they work fine, but w/ turbo's pushing serious power they suffer from heatsoaking.

But if I don't find the right deal, perhaps we can work it out.

I would look for a decent size core if you are looking for big power on pump. Always use Spearco cores too. They flow the best and have been proven to work really well.

We are having a sale on FMIC kits. PM for pricing or check out our web site. It's the highest quality piece with one of the lowest prices ever.

This is going to be featured product for this month on Tuners.

With his price range he's going to be hard pressed to find a NEW FMIC that'll handle High HP on pump Gas. (I've seen 470whp on Race gas with a green. I've personally made 363whp with my HRC S20G)

for $700 He'll probably be able to get a Great Core. But won't get I/C piping.

Apexi GTR 2G core is $820(depending on where you look or who you know maybe cheaper) But then it's another $400-$500 for I/C piping.

Precision's has a new Core that's pretty nice. Along with AMS.

Don't forget when talking about Apexi Cores there are different kinds make sure you get the GTR Core.

The 16G doesn't even compare to the 50 trim. period. A good FMIC that doesn't require fog light removal, or mess up your A/C is the Greddy 24R, like the one I have.

Actually we have really good prices on our 1g and 2g FMIC kits. For the quality that we have you cna't beat the price. We are also using the expensive Spearco cores.

Spearco is a good choice as well. This guy Patrick has one, and it looks gorgeous:thumb:

I had offered out $700 to get a FMIC, used or new!

I scored a new 2-216 Spearco RnR FMIC for around $850!
AND I ended up buying the PTE 50 Trim Turbo from RnR as well.

He seemed legit and was very helpful. We'll see how it goes.

Let this thread be a testament to the sales experience. I'll keep everyone filled in as to how the purchase goes!

Ordered the turbo and FMIC from RnR Racing and not only did I not recieve it yet (been over a month) but the shipment was lost!!!!! I am still waiting to hear back from RnR racing to get my refund. I have called and emailed but i haven't gotten an answer yet???????????

We had your order for a 2G FMIC kit and 50 trim out within a week. Thta is actually very fast for what you ordered. Now it was delayed shipment by UPS and then they delivered it the wrong person or whatever UPS is saying. We have to wait to here from them before we do anything. You know they have an investigation going on the matter. We emailed you about this matter.

At least they're trying to rectify the situation and keep you up to date....

I had the same shit happened to me, I shipped out my FMIC and UPS lost it. How in the blue f**kin moon do you lose a box of that size? I work for UPS and im very dissapointed with them. I may work there, but I will never ship with them again
