Turbo Timer??

It's a good idea even though our turbos are watercooled.

It stops the oil lubricating the turbo from turning into sludge inside the bearing housing due to lack of flow when the engine is shut off after boosting (very high temperatures occur when boosting.) This condition is called "coking". "Coking" reduces the amount or oil that can flow to the bearings the turbine shaft rides on causing bearing and shaft damage and eventually turbo failure. (kinda like clogged arteries.) The turbo timer allows the turbo to cool to reasonable temperatures before shutting off the car avoiding this problem.

6 mins is probably a lot for daily, i know.. but its ok... i dont mind the gas waisted on idle. but 3 for racing IMO sounds like not enough. 10 is the max my TT allows (HKS type 1) so thats what i set it for after racing.

better safe than sorry....
