How big of turbos are being used with 550cc's?

I was wondering what are some bigger turbos that people are running with 550cc's. I have a 16g now but I want a full garrett 50 trim kit set-up and if at all possible, not have to get new injectiors. Thanks. :talon: :thumb:

Agreed. You will need 660s with the 50 trim. I just came from the dyno today and I'm at about +8 on my higher GCC settings even on C16 at 23 PSI. 550s just won't ccut it.

ah but there in lies a problem. lower injector cycle duty leads to the ecu putting in a bunch of timing. that can lead to knock. its a game of balance in this situation. i had my fuel pressure at 38 base and had the afc at -20-22%. i was getting 30+ degrees of timing at 24 psi with 114 in the tank. not good. i backed off my fuel pressure and added some fuel with the afc and i get about 22-23 degrees at 26 psi now. yes its fast:)

I run 780 cc and try to get as ahigh as possible on timong with out my knock count going over 7. Anyting over that the computer starts pulling timing.

FP green here on 550s. 17 psi on the street all day long on 91 oct pump gas.

when track time comes, she gets to taste the magic of 110 leaded on 23 psi with absolutely 0 knock.

550s WILL get it done, although 660s are certainly preferable. :thumb:

720cc and larger are NOT needed on a 50 tim sized turbo unless it will see 30 psi every day of its life with 9:1 compression or more....

^^^ what he said. 720's arent needed, 550's will be a little small but can do it if u max em out, 660's are about perfect =)
