i might be selling my hks seq. bov it's new just bought it this week. i have a turbo xs on the car now and it almost twice the size of the hks. when i bought the car chris didnt tell me which turbo xs bov it was and i assued it was the cheap that you can get for like just over $100. nope this thing is a mammoth and should be able to hold just about any turbo i throw at it.

.... and yes for the hks bov you do need a different flange it looks like a bowl and the bov sits inside on a top of a o ring and is held by a e ring i think.

So would i have to take the 1G flange off and then weld on the hks bov, and do u have ne idea what hoses would need to be disconnected if i wanted the bov to be vented to the atmosphere, but on the other hand ive heard that venting to the atmosphere is bad and it gives ur car really bad gas mileage and stuff:dsm:

yes the 1g flange would need to be removed. as far as venting to the atmosphere... dont it would be way to loud and annoying.. well at least mine is.

dont vent, it will cause bad idling problems and whatnot. I too was thinking about replacing my 1g BOV to get something with more zing but then thought to myself, why? Sure it sounds cool but i would rather use the money to go faster or to put in my piggy bank for a bigger turbo, which would sound better. the 1g is a good BOV imo, but anyways good luck with the change and hope u like it :)

this is odd... becouse with my almost stock setup just did all the free mods i can hear my BOV pretty noticeably....not going to scare the shit outa no one but you can defently hear it at wot and shifting..

Do not get rid of your 1G. It is the best available besides the Tial. If you want it to perform better and be a little louder(although the sound thing is really ricy), perform the high boost mod. When done the valve has a higher pitched sound, and is louder.

Yeah, just do the high boost mod and you will be able to hear it with ease. Give me a day and I will put up the easiest directions with all of the tap sizes that actually work.

if you still want a HKS seq. bov i might be willing to sell mine. it's new just got it on thursday, and is still in the box.. bag with the hardware didn't even get a chance to be opened. i'll decide weather or not i want to sell buy this weekend. i currently have the Turbo XS RFL, and i'm not sure if if want to swap it or not.

injen or dejon tool intake pipe and it will make noise, going from rubber to metal on intake and all intercooler pipes will make alot more noise too

get a Greddy Type S if you are going to go aftermarket, sounds awesome, holds pressure, and looks nice (even though its purple). if you wanna pic, check this link http://www.bobflash.com/users/keithce/eclipse/bov.JPG
anyhoo, im my opinion, the type s is the best sounding, not so loud that it gets irritating like the Turbo XS RFL does, but loud enough to get attention, make people turn and stare, and it will make you be runnin around town goin :D all the time. im pretty sure you will need a few flange. 1g BOV is a great valve if you would rather save your money for better things like a turbo, but if you REALLY want sound, i have stock intake, WITH dump tube, and its plenty loud, hope this helps. peace

there is a kit that you can buy so that HKS seq bov dosen't need to be vented to the atmosphere, and as soon as i find one for my turbo xs i'm putting it on... damn thing is to loud.

You can acctually just drill 2 holes in your flange you have now and bolt a greddy type-s right on to it. The stock flange for a 1G BOV is huge and will hold the greddy on it no problem.

Once you get it on you will see that the ends of the old flange are bigger you can grind them off if you want to. I did it on my car and it works just fine.
