16g on a 97 gst

I have a 16g turbo that i want to install in my friends gst but was wondering why dose it need an install kit shouldnt it just be a bolt on. I know the turbo can be bolted on but is the outlet from the turbo that oes to the intercooler is that the only difference.

You will need a J pipe and elbow. Like seen here 2G install kit from RRE You dont have to have the whole intall kit, just the piping.

oil line is different, so is the routing of the coolant lines. basically, it's because the 16G is a Mitsubishi turbo, and the stock 2nd gen turbo is a Garrett.
